ATI X1250 en Ubuntu 10.04 aceleracion 3D? Acer extensa 4420

Hola,

Me impresiona que pueda utilizar Ubuntu con un compiz-fusion out-of-the-box, pero quise instalar el driver de ATI como dicen aqui

Y el resultado es el siguiente:

aticonfig --initial, no se ha detectado ningun dispositivo, para aplicar cambios

Pierdo todo lo que habia logrado el driver radeon

Pido mil disculpas a los administradores por el repost. No me gusta violar la netiquette, pero debido a la desorganización que veo en este foro, los posts parecen perderse en el oceano de preguntas diarias. Me obliga a hacer esta pequeña crítica al repostear una pregunta. Cosa que a mi no me gusta
Yo fui usuario de Ubuntu en las versiones 5.0?-6.06 y este mismo foro en esa época era lo mejor de la distribución. Recuerdo claraente un viejo comentario de este foro "Un secreto: Ubuntu es más lento que Windows..." Donde uno de los usuarios habló con sinceridad y este foro fue capaz de escucharlo. Espero y sinceramente, que recupere pronto ese estatus.
