Memoria SD no logro montar en Acer Aspire 5050 [kernel 2.6.22-14]

Aparentemente, no sabés cual es el Dispositivo de bloques...

En general los lectores de tarjetas suelen ser Dispositivos USB(y por ende van aparecer como discos SCSI). Es mas, se montan automaticamente y te aparecen en el escritorio) De ultima probá:

sudo mount /dev/sdX1 -t vfat /mnt (eso si MNT está vacio)

La X puede ser a o b o c o d o muchas letras mas pero en general si es el unico dispositivo USB conectado y no hay discos SATA, será sda.

de todas formas te vas a dar cuenta que es una partición montable porque siempre que hay sd<letra><numero> hay tambien un sd<letra>

tambien te vas a dar cuenta que todas las memorias flash tienen siempre FAT32(o FAT las mas viejas)

 

y si es seguro que no existe el archivo mmcblk0 dentro de dev...entonces no estabas montando nada.

Espero que te sirva lo que te dije. Poné en un terminal ls /dev y fijate

en este note nunca me ha pasado eso ¬¬ (no se si en Gutsy, pero con kernel 2.6..22-14 tampoco)

no funciona, ya que las 4 particiones sda (1,2,3,4), ya estan ocupadas y no se crea ninguna mas al ingresar la memoria SD

Actualiza a la ultima version y ese problema lo tienes solucionado, tambien puedes recompilar siguiendo los pasos que hay en varios foros para que le modulo sd_hci te detecte la ID de tu tarjeta lectora ENE Technology, pero creo que te vas a comploicar menos actualizaondo ubuntu jeje, un saludo.

Hola, tengo una aspire 510-5033 y con vista home 32 bits me toma 2,5GB RAM. queria sebar si con ubuntu me tomaria los 4GB RAM.

Debes formatearla en FAT32 o NTFS, si la tienes que usar con dispositivos (GPS, teléfonos), o en EXT4 si es sólo para GNU/Linux.

Instala Gparted, lo llamas, selecciona la unidad sd ( ¡ No te confundas !, a ver si te vas a cargar el disco duro. Arriba a la derecha, en el desplegable ), hazle un click al gráfico, y en el menú superior, Dispositivo->Tabla de particiones. Ahí creas una nueva, compatible con MSDOS.
Luego, click derecho, formatear, FAT32. (Salvo que prefieras NTFS o EXT4)

Recuerda: Con las particiones no se juega. Asegúrate de hacer bien cada paso, puedes cepillarte el sistema operativo o los datos del disco.
