Pierdo conexion a internet y al router adsl ethernet!

hola muchachos, primero, les comento que lei mil foros, busque en la ayuda de ubuntu, y termine por optar en volver a intstalar ubuntu 7.10 gusty gibbon (obviamente, lo mas bobo que pude haber hecho) y el problema, no se ha de solucionar, y me esta probocando muchos dolores de cabeza.

les comento, tengo adsl speedy argentina (DNS PRIMARIO 200.51.211.7 DNS SECUNDARIO 200.51.212.7) y me dieron un router dsl, modelo ZXDSL 831, herrrrrmoso, anda 10 puntis, es mas, lo configure para que este todo el tiempo conectado, y en winchot anda perfecto. cosa que me da mucha impotencia, ya que no lo puedo hacer andar de la misma manera en ubuntu, el modelo de la placa de red (onboard) es una VT6102 Rahine-II:

supongo que eso indica que estan instalados los driver por si solo, ahora, el network manager, lo configure de las siguientes maneras, obviamente, primero con el modo intinerante (que todabia, despues de haber leido, no se que es o que funsion cumple, con este, la internete anda un ratito, y se cae absolutamente todo, y cuando digo todo, es todo, incluyendo la comunicacion con el router (las luces de conexion ethernet y adsl, siemple encendidas estan). despues probe con DHCP (el router lo configure con DHCP, START IP ADDRESS: 192.168.1.2, END IP ADDRES: 192.168.1.30, LEASE TIME: 3DAYS 0 HOURS 0 MINUTES <<que no se q es lo ultimo>>), y hace lo mismo, al principio te ilusiona, y despues el muy hijo de su madre, se cae, y no me anda internet ni el enlace con el router (a esto me refiero a escribir en firefox o cualquier navegador 192.168.1.1 y entrar al soft del router), despues y por ultimo, intente con IP ESTATICA, la cual tengo de la siguiente manera, DIRECCION IP: 192.168.1.3, MASCADA DE SUB-RED: 255.255.255.0, Y PUERTA DE ENLACE (o gateway): 192.168.1.1. aclaro, los DNS siempre los mantebe 3, 192.168.1.1, 200.51.211.7, 200.51.212.7. en todas las configuraciones.

ahora les muestro un poco que pasa en cada situacion, apenas inicio ubuntu, anda 10 puntos, y les muestro lo que me tira el terminal con todo andando:

como pueden ver, anda 10 puntos. bueno, pasados los entre 10 minutos y 4hs de conexion (me suele pasar cuando dejo la pc sin hacer nada, es como que se desconecta a cierta cantidad de tiempo por inactividad, pero aveces, dejo el emesene o el ares avierto, por si es eso, y se desconecta de la red y de internet igual)

ahora, cuando se desconecta, ahi me agarra la locura, cuando ejecuto en termina ROUT (como que tengo que hacer como usuario root, sino me tira un mensaje de error), me muestra las primeras dos lineas, y la tercera, osea, la de "default" nunca aparece, dhclient (siempre como root), aparece hasta la tercer linea, es decir, "Sending on Socket/fallback" y despues me tira mensajes similares a timeout (no puedo mostrarles con exactitud porque justamente ahora, esta conectado, y para ahorrar tiempo, voy escribiendo el problema)

Y ahora, les paso los mismos comandos, pero con dolor de cabeza, es decir, sin poder acceder al router, ni a internet (las luces del router, tanto dsl como ethernet, estan encendidas).

si pueden llegar a ver una solucion, por favor, no saben cuanto se los voy a agradecer. Ya que por cuestiones laborales, necesito tener internet, y miren las ganas de usarlo, que cada vez que se desconecta, reinicio la maquina para no tener que usar winchot.

no encuentro solucion alguna, revice el mtu, que lo vi en varios foros, pero nada de nada, se me conecta mas tiempo, pero se termina desconectando.

Por el momento pude encontrar una solucion rapida, pero algo molesta, instale desde "añadir y quitar" <<configure network card>> y <<selector de red>>, con eso anda bastante bien, por ahora no se cayo ni la red ni internet, el tema es que cada vez que inicio ubuntu, tengo que ir configure network card, configurarla y abrir el selector de red. y sinceramente es medio molesto. si encuentran una manera de que qde guardada la configuracion del configure network card y de ejecutar el selector de red (no se como seria el comando para agregarlo en "sesiones") al iniciar ubuntu.

hice que se iniciara el selector de red, puse un acceso en el escritorio, copia el command, y lo pege en sesiones.

pero para darme cuenta, tube que reiniciar la maquina, xq se me corto OTRA VEZ LA CONEXION CON EL MODEM-ROUTER, POR FAVOR AYUDA!!!!!

muchachos.. haber si se ponen media pilusa y me ayudan...

instale el mismo ubuntu en la otra pc que tengo, el mother es p4vp- mx, y no tube ningun problema con la conexion... no toque nada, y andubo (sigue andando) perfectamente. si tienen una explicacion logica de porque este fenomeno, en el mother que me pasa esto es un p5vd2- mx se, busque driver en la pagina oficial de asus, y para la lan, no tiene nada, solo para audio y raid...

por favor, AYUDA!!!!!!!!!

bueno gente... habiendo visto que absolutamente nadie tiene la solucion, no solo a este problema sino, a muchos relacionados con la conexion a internet (sin incluir a aquellos que no buscan ni siquiera en la ayuda de ubuntu, y simplemente tenian que hacer sudo pppoeconf) me decidi x hace lo que no tenia ganas de hacer, pero finalmente logre solucionarlo. si bien es para nada ortodoxo, el fin no justifica los medios, osea, al fin de cuentas el problema se soluciono.

lo que hice fue, desconectar el disco donde tengo instalado winchot (sda1), y dejar conectado solo en donde queria a toda costa instalar ubuntu (hda1), NO PREGUNTEN XQ SE ME OCURRIO, XQ SE SOLUCIONO, xq no tengo ni la mas palida idea (SERIA UN GOLAZO SI ALGUIEN ME HACE, AUNQUE SEA ESTE FAVOR, DE EXPLICARME XQ ESTE FENOMENO) asi que instale ubuntu, y fin del problema, toooodo el tiempo conectado, sin lentitud, en resumen, perfecto, despues volvi a conectar el disco sda1, configure para que ubuntu lo monte al iniciar, y listo.

la unica contra de esto, es que para arrancar el winchot (lo uso solamente para jugar) tengo que hacer que se bootee desde el BIOS, y la verdad, es muyyy incomodo, de modo que hace muchisimo que no toco el xp.

Lo primero que deberias aplicar son unas medidas previas para ir descartando cosas y tratar de acorralar el problema.

Lo primero es desconectar salvapantallas y sistemas de ahorro de energia (Dejar ambas cosas siempre apagadas). sistema/preferencias/gestor de energia

Despues arrancamos los programas de descargas que queramos dejar encendido. 

Nos vamos a consola y ejecutamos: dmesg y copiamos las ultimas lineas en un documento de gedit por ejemplo.

Ejecutamos cat /var/log/syslog y copiamos las ultimas lineas y las copiamos en otro documento.

 Ahora dejamos el ordenador funcionando y esperamos a que pase el error de desconexion. Cuando pase ejecutamos dmeg y vemos las nuevas lineas que han aparecido desde las que copiamos y con el syslog lo mismo y me pegas esas nuevas lineas que deberian dar la informacion del problema.

¿Que version de Ubuntu Usas?

bueno, por empezar, te agradezco muchisimo por haber prestado tu tiempo a mi problema, te comento que en estos momentos estoy usando ubuntu 8.04, pero lo mismo sucedia con el 7.10.

la verdad, en cuanto a las "ultimas lineas", no se a partir de cual, quiza el mensaje sea algo extenso, pero es un por las dudas, aca te dejo el dmesg conectado y desconectado y el  cat /var/log/syslog en las mismas situaciones.

Ya se el problema y 2 posibles soluciones. El problema que ocurre normalmente es que el driver de la placa base que incluye linux tiene algun fallo normalmente poeque el fabricante de la placa base a publicado la tabla de especificaciones mal o puede ser un problema de la BIOS de placa base.

Hay un conflicto entre dispositivos y linux resetea la tarjeta de red cada vez que ocurre.

Soluciones:

La solucion suele ser añadir la opcion irqpoll en el kernel para que arranque con ella y gestione mejor los problemas.

Leyendo informacion tambien he leido que a veces una actualizacion de la BIOS "puede" solucionar los problemas (pero como ya sabras actualizar la bios tiene sus riesgos) yo probaria con el irqpoll

no tengo manera de agradecerte que me estes ayudando en este tema. te cuento, estube googleando un poco, y si, es como vos bien dijiste, sirve para solventar algunos errores de los firmware (no se como, pero no viene al caso), el temita, es que lei (y que sinceramente no entendi para nada) es que hay que mantener precionado f6 con el cdlive, y ahi se puede activar o algo similar (seguramente es totalmente incorrecta mi interpretacion), lo unico que faltaria, es si me podrias facilitar la info de como hacer para añadir la opcion de irqpoll en el arranque del kernel, ya que es la primera vez que me lo nombran o leo, mas alla de este ultimo paso, te repito, mil gracias, saludos.

Para que te lo haga siempre tienes que abrir con permisos de root un archivo de esta forma:

sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst

Luego en la parte baja del fichero veras algo parecido a esto:

Tienes que poner el irqpoll en la linea primera donde pone el UUID (hay 2 lineas donde pone UUID solo en la primera). El irq poll en el foro me ha salido 1 linea mas abajo .

MUY IMPORTANTE TE DEJO EL FICHERO COMPLETO EN UNA WEB PARA QUE VEAS DONDE VA.

te reitero como antes, muchisimas gracias, pero enserio, escribi lo que me dijiste como lo muestra el link que me pasaste, hasta ahora (la reinicie a las 18 hs aprox, son casi las 23 hs) esta respondiendo perfectamente, hoy la voy a dejar encendida toda la noche, si mañana cuando me levanto funciona, lo pongo como solucionado, y te repito, ande o no, no alcanzan los gracias por haber prestado atencion a mi problema, se te agradece muchisimo. saludos

Esperemos que funcione bien seria muy triste que por un fallito del fabricante de la placa base al publicar mal las especificaciones  no puedas usar linux.
